Hot Honey Saganaki Bites

  • As needed Olive Oil
  • 20 ea Kontos Pre-Grilled Cocktail Flatbreads
  • 20 piece(s) seared Saganaki cheese Reserved warm
  • 3 tbsp(s) Hot honey
  • As need Parsley, Fresh Minced

Saganaki Cheese

  • As needed Olive Oil
  • 3 slices Saganaki Cheese 1/4 in. Slice (3.5 oz. Slice)
  • 2 slices All-Purpose Flour
  • As needed Kosher Salt
  • As needed Ground Black Pepper


Hot Honey Saganaki Bites

  • Pre-heat a griddle over medium-high heat.
  • Lightly drizzle each flatbread with olive oil and griddle each side for 30 seconds or until cocktail flatbreads are lightly toasted.
  • Transfer the cocktail flatbreads to a serving platter and top each with 1 piece of seared saganaki cheese, 1/2 tsp(s) of hot honey and fresh minced parsley.

Seared Saganaki Cheese

  • Add all-purpose flour to a medium size bowl and dredge each slice of saganaki in flour; Shake off any excess and transfer the dredged slices on to a sheet pan lined with parchment paper.
  • Add olive oil to the griddle and sear both sides of cheese for 2 minutes or until golden.
  • Cut each slice in to 3 by 3 in squares; Reserve Warm.
