Instructions
Fried Halloumi Cheese Curds
Pre-heat a fryer or large pot filled with vegetable oil to 375 degrees F.
Fry the curds for 4-5 minutes or until golden and crisp.
Shake off excess oil, place the fried curds in a large mixing bowl and toss with za'atar seasoning.
Transfer the curds to a serving dish and garnish with freshly grated paremsan, serve with a side of whipped feta for dipping.
Breaded Halloumi Cheese Curds
Whisk together eggs and buttermilk in a large mixing bowl.
In a separate large mixing bowl, combine flour, corn starch, salt and pepper and mix until well incorporated.
Bread the halloumi in batches; Start with dipping the cheese curds in the egg mixture, ensure cheese is fully coated.
Transfer the curds into the flour mixture and coat all sides.
Spread out the breaded curds on a sheet pan lined with parchment paper and refrigerate until needed.
Whipped Feta
Combine all ingredients in the base of a food processor, process until smooth; Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.
Transfer in to an airtight container and refrigerate until needed
