Stop & Shop to Carry Four Varieties of Kontos Flatbread

The company’s top-selling Pocket-Less® White, Pocket-Less® Wheat, Greek Lifestyle Flatbread, and Pizza Parlor Crust will be fully available in Stop & Shop’s stores by June 15

Paterson, New Jersey – May 12, 2015 – Kontos Foods, Inc. (, a manufacturer and distributor of traditional Greek and Mediterranean foods, today announced that four of its top-selling flatbread products will be rolled out over the next seven weeks at all Stop & Shop stores. Kontos Foods’ Pocket-Less White, Pocket-Less Wheat, Greek Lifestyle Flatbread, and Pizza Parlor Crust will be available in Stop & Shop bread aisles in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island.

All four Kontos Flatbreads will initially come with promotional stickers on the packaging to highlight how each product can be used; for example, for grilling, sandwiches or pizza. As the rollout continues, each product will also contain on-pack recipe ideas. The Kontos Flatbreads are ‘hand-stretched for fluffiness™’, contain no trans fat, and are 100% vegetarian.

The products that will be in Stop & Stop stores include:

Pocket-Less White Flatbread – The classic flatbread used by many cultures in the Mediterranean, this versatile flatbread can be used for wrap sandwiches, placed in a breadbasket or cut into wedges and served with dips and spreads.

Pocket-Less Wheat Flatbread – This whole-wheat, pocket-less flatbread is great for health-conscious sandwiches, as an accompaniment to meals, with soups, or as a delicious host for dips and spreads.

Greek Lifestyle Flatbread – The dietary traditions of Greece and the Mediterranean have long been proven to promote better health and longevity. Kontos Greek Lifestyle Flatbread is formulated in this better-for-you tradition. Kontos Greek Lifestyle Flatbread has more protein, and less carbohydrates, sugar and calories than most traditional breads.
