Spinach, Mozzarella and Crumbled Sausage Bar Pie

Sauteed spinach and bubbly mozzarella topped with you crumbled, sweet Italian Sausage. Garnished with roasted garlic and fresh cherry tomatoes.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Kontos Tavern Flatbread
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 bunch Spinach Washed
  • 2 links Italian Sausage Sweet
  • 1/2 cup Mozzarella Shredded
  • 3-5 cloves Garlic Peeled
  • 5 cherry tomatoes Cut in halves
  • Salt To Taste

Instructions
 

  • Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees farenheit.

Cook Spinach

  • Add olive oil to a sautee pan over medium heat.
  • Add the garlic cloves, cook for 2 mins.
  • Add the washed spinach and sautee until wilted. Set aside.

Cook Sausage

  • In the same pan, remove the casing from the sausage and break apart using your hands and add to the hot pan over medium heat.
  • With a wooden spoon, gently break apart the sausage. Cook until golden with a little bit of char. Set aside.

Assemble Flatbread

  • Place the Tavern Flatbread on a baking sheet and sprinkle the mozzarella cheese all over the flatbread. Place in oven for 2-5 mins, or until cheese is melted.
  • Remove pan from the oven and add the spinach, garlic cloves, and crumbled sausage.
  • Garnish with the cherry tomato halves.
  • Salt to taste and cut into three wedges - ready to serve!
