Caramelized Apple & Brie Bar Pie

A sweet and savory classic—warm, caramelized apples paired with creamy Brie and tart cranberries, all layered on a crispy Kontos Tavern Flatbread. Finished with fresh thyme for an aromatic touch.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 apple thinly sliced
  • 1 cup cranberries
  • 1 wedge of Brie cheese sliced
  • A few sprigs of fresh thyme

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Heat olive oil in a sauté pan over medium heat.
  • Add the cranberries and cook until they start to caramelize.
  • Stir in the sugar and water, cooking until the mixture reduces slightly. Remove from heat and transfer the cranberry mixture to a bowl.
  • In the same pan (rinse if necessary), add the sliced apples and cook until softened and lightly caramelized. Remove from heat.
  • Place the Kontos Tavern Flatbread on a baking sheet.
  • Spread the sliced Brie cheese evenly over the flatbread.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 3–5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Remove the flatbread from the oven.
  • Top with the caramelized apples, cranberry mixture, and fresh thyme sprigs.
  • Slice into 4 pieces and serve immediately.
