Kontos Foods to Showcase Newest Flatbread at 2019 Summer Fancy Food Show

Paterson, New Jersey – June 18, 2019 –   Kontos Foods, Inc.  will be sampling its newest flatbread creation—Gorditas—at the 2019 Summer Fancy Food Show, which takes place June 23-25 at the Javits Center in New York. Gorditas are handmade soft flatbread “taco shells,” perfect for making stuffed taco sandwiches, filled with meat, cheese, salsa or sour cream. Kontos, a U.S.- based manufacturer and distributor of traditional artisan breads and Mediterranean specialty foods, will be showcasing Gorditas among many other favorite products at the show which is sponsored by the Specialty Food Association. Like most of Kontos flatbreads, Gorditas contain No Trans Fats, are 100 percent vegetarian, Certified Kosher-Pareve (Pas Yisroel) and Halal. They come packed 6/10 – 19.70 oz to a case, and they require minimal reheating for added flexibility.


Other featured products will include Toasted Tidbits™, which were unveiled last year, and are made from sliced Kontos’ signature GYRO Bread, toasted into delicious Tidbits™. They’re a perfect low-calorie snack, but are also ideal for dips, soups, snacks, and salads. Other offerings at the Kontos Booth will include desserts such as Classic and Assorted Baklava, and appetizers such as Spanakopita and Tyropita. The Summer Fancy Food Show bills itself as North America’s largest specialty food and beverage event, attracting 2,400 exhibitors from 50 countries and regions who show off more than 180,000 products including cheeses, coffee, snacks, confections, spices, ethnic, natural and organic products.
