Kontos Foods Kicks Off #KontosKids Back-to-School Recipe Contest

Paterson, New Jersey – Sept 15, 2016 – Kontos Foods, Inc. (www.kontos.com), a U.S.-based manufacturer and distributor of traditional Greek and Mediterranean foods, today unveiled #Kontos Kids Back-to-School Recipe Contest with finalists having their recipes and photos featured on Kontos.com and promoted across Kontos Foods’ social media channels; one lucky winner will receive a lavish Kontos food basket, valued in excess of $150. Kontos is looking for creative, back-to-school lunch and afterschool snack recipes incorporating at least one Kontos product, from its line of Flatbreads, Fillo doughs, Fillo appetizers and pastries, or other offerings.

Kontos wants to help get kids excited about their school lunch and snack routines, and what better way than to get them in the kitchen creating new recipes with their parents or caregivers. Kontos products are great for whipping up delicious new finger sandwiches, pizzas and more for lunches and snacks. Each recipe must be submitted with a photo from Sept 19 – Oct. 2. Online voting will take place Oct. 4-20, with people allowed to vote for one recipe a day. Encourage family and friends to vote, use #KontosKids when sharing; winners will be announced on Oct. 24.
