Kontos Foods continues its Asian tour with back-to-back stops–FoodEx Japan in Tokyo and a Trade Mission to Seoul, South Korea through FoodExport Northeast–to show off its wide variety of artisan flatbreads, Fillo dough and All-Natural, French-Style Crepes!
Paterson, N.J. – March 6, 2017 – Kontos Foods, Inc., a manufacturer and distributor of traditional artisan breads and Mediterranean specialty foods, today kicked off its Asian tour that includes a tradeshow and a trade mission. First, Kontos will be exhibiting at the 2017 FoodEx Japan tradeshow in Tokyo, Japan March 7-10. At the show – the largest annual food and beverage tradeshow in Asia – Kontos will showcase several products, including its Fillo and Kataifi Dough, several varieties of artisan Flatbreads, Classic Baklava, and Nut Rolls. And… a big hit in Japan is Kontos Foods’ All-Natural, French-Style Crepes.
Stop by to visit us at Booth #3C04-79; Kontos Foods will showcase several products, including its All-Natural, French Style Crepes, which come in 9-inch and 11-inch sizes in both traditional and savory flavors. The crepes are light and fresh and surprisingly low in calories, complementing a variety of fillings, no matter the cuisine.
“Kontos Foods pita, flatbreads and crepes pair well with so many Asian dishes,” said Steve Kontos, Vice President of Kontos Foods. “From past visits and research we know that crepes in particular are very popular in Japan and elsewhere in Asia. So on this visit, we’ll be sharing more new recipe ideas for Asian-influenced appetizers, seafood dishes and meals.”
Next up, March 12-14, Kontos Foods will participate in a Trade Mission to South Korea through FoodExport Northeast, a government-funded organization that supports the growth of U.S. food exports. Kontos will participate in a three-day program gathering market intelligence, taking part in pre-arranged one-on-one meetings with buyers who’ve expressed interest in Kontos’ products and a table top showcase and trade reception. Kontos Foods will show off its many products, including its Kontos Tandoori Naan bread, Kontos Pocket-Less Pita®, Greek Lifestyle Flatbread®, Gyro breads, grilled Panini breads, All-Natural, French-Style Crepes, and other ethnic flatbreads in addition to prepared Fillo desserts such as Baklava and Nut Rolls.
Kontos Foods has steadily grown its global footprint for the past three years, and now ships its products globally to a wide range of locations, including Singapore, Indonesia, the Caribbean, Panama, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and Dubai. “Research has show that Japanese and Korean consumers prefer high-quality, healthy food at a good value,” said Warren Stoll, marketing director for Kontos Foods. “Kontos products are perfectly suited, so it’s no wonder our flatbreads, fillo dough and crepes are already resonating in countries throughout Asia and internationally.”
